The Aware's Behavior
The Adware 'StatBlaster' is a spyware-type component, and may be used in partnership with other adware packages.The spyware files should be able to be detected as Adware under the filename(s) StatBlaster.
Possible interference when shutting down may occur.
A connection via Web browser to ad sites or to statblaster.com might also occur without your knowledge. Refer to firewall or browser monitoring software to check on this.
StatBlaster's adware most likely downloaded from a site that includes adware, or from Statblaster.com itself, as part of a "Baseball Fantasy" promotion or membership.

When StatBlaster's Adware runs, it performs the following:
Attempts to connect to StatBlaster.com for updates.Sets or updates the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\StatBlaster
...and adds possible spyware or adware subkeys under it.
This Adware does not come with an uninstaller. The adware program or application with which it could be bundled would most likely contain the run and uninstaller keys.
Deleting the Spyware from the Registry
Click Start, and then click Run. (The Run dialog box appears.)Type regedit
Then click OK. (The Registry Editor opens.)
Navigate to the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\StatBlaster
In the left pane, delete this key.
Exit the Registry Editor.
