This Northern Argentina Program will allow you to drive through the Argentine routes and discover spectacular places with your family sharing moments knowing the culture of communities of natives that will make your tribe enjoy an unforgettable vacation in Buenos Aires, Salta, Jujuy and Iguazu Falls (argentine and brazilian side).

Prices are per person in US dollars (contemplating 2 adults and 2 minors) in a quadruple room.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Argentina: Arrival to Buenos Aires, transfer to the hotel and free day

Stop At: Ezeiza International Airport, AU Tte. Gral. Pablo Riccheri Km 33,5, B1802 Ezeiza, Buenos Aires, Argentina
You will arrive at the city of Buenos Aires and will be transferred to an apartment in the neighborhood of Palermo. Your local correspondent will welcome you and some recommendations to make the most of the neighborhood and local cuisine with your family.

Afternoon and free night.

Recommendation: In the afternoon we suggest visiting Bosques de Palermo - Floralis Generica - Japanese Garden - Botanical Garden - National Museum of Fine Arts - Museum of Decorative Art - Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA) - Recoleta Cultural Center - Recoleta Cemetery

Day 2: Buenos Aires City Tour: Historic center and Southern Neighborhoods

Stop At: Plaza de Mayo, Av. Hipolito Yrigoyen S/N, Buenos Aires Argentina
A specialist in History and Architecture of the city will accompany you to discover the hidden treasures of the city, passing through mythical places such as the Plaza de Mayo and the Cabildo, and then you will arrive at the neighborhood of La Boca and its famous Caminito street. You will have the impression of reliving the past and discover the old houses built by immigrants.

Free evening to explore the city.

Day 3: Flight to Salta, transfer to the hotel and free day

Stop At: Salta Cabildo, Calle Caseros 541, Salta A4400DMK Argentina
Transfer to the airport to take a plane to Salta, where our local representative will deliver a rental car for the following days.

Afternoon and free night to explore the city.

Recommendation: In the afternoon we suggest a tour of the historic center, the Cabildo, the Cathedral and its baroque style, the Convent of San Bernardo and the Church of San Francisco (with its appearance of the colonial past of the city), San Bernardo Hill  and the High Mountain Archaeological Museum (MAAM).  At night, we recommend you visit some of the famous peñas (traditional tavern) where you can taste some tasty empanadas, roast and a rich wine to the rhythm of northern folklore.

Day 4: Jujuy: Discovering the Quebrada de Humahuaca and Purmamarca

Stop At: Quebrada de Humahuaca, Rio Grande Purmamarca Village, Humahuaca Argentina
You will drive through the legendary route 9 to the province of Jujuy. You will have the opportunity to know the beginning of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and you will arrive at Purmamarca, a very traditional town that is at the foot of the famous Hill of the 7 colors, where you will spend the night.

Recommendation: In the afternoon, you can take the route towards the Salinas Grandes, a salt desert located at more than 4100 meters above sea level.

Day 5: Touring the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Punta Corral and Humahuaca

Stop At: Quebrada de Humahuaca, Rio Grande Purmamarca Village, Humahuaca Argentina
You will drive through the Quebrada de Humahuaca, an amazing route declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site due to its rich Andean culture and amazing landscapes.

We suggest visiting the small village on the way, such as Tilcara with its historical Pucará (indigenous fort), Humahuaca and its colourful markets, from where you can visit the Hornocal, also known as the 14 colours mountain. After a full day on the road, return to Purmamarca to spend the night.

Day 6: Rural community of natives in Hornaditas: Exchange cultura experience

Stop At: Quebrada de Humahuaca, Rio Grande Purmamarca Village, Humahuaca Argentina
You will take the road to the small town of Hornaditas, where your hosts will receive you with a traditional meal. You will share daily and rural activities with them: the preparation of typical foods, goat cheese, natural medicinal creams and walks around the community.

You will spend the night at their hosts' house.

Day 7: Rural community of natives in Hornaditas: Exchange cultura experience

Stop At: Quebrada de Humahuaca, Rio Grande Purmamarca Village, Humahuaca Argentina
You will share a new day of immersion with their hosts, have breakfast together and participate in the preparation of the meal. All the family will put their hands in the dough to prepare some delicious empanadas. Then, you will go for a walk through the Humahuaca Valley to discover the old cemetery or visit the famous Inca cave.

Day 8: Flight to Puerto Iguazú, transfer to the hotel and free day

Stop At: Puerto Iguazu Argentina
After breakfast, you will go to Salta airport and you will leave your rental car. You will take a flight to the jungle of Puerto Iguazú.

Free afternoon.

Recommendation: In the afternoon, we suggest visiting the animal shelter of Güra Oga, located 5 km from the city on the way to the National Park. This place is a veterinary clinic and rehabilitation center for injured wild animals. You can make a detour to the birdhouse of the hummingbirds: "The garden of the hummingbirds". At 1km to the west there is a craft market or you can visit the point of view of the 3 borders between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.

Day 9: Iguazu National Park: Iguazu Falls (Argentine side)

Stop At: Iguazu Falls, Iguazu National Park 3370 Argentina
You will discover the famous Iguazu Falls on the Argentine side. After walking along the numerous footbridges and appreciating the different views, you can approach them by navigating under the falls.

Return to Puerto Iguazú to spend the night.

Day 10: Iguazu National Park: Iguazu Falls (Brazilian side) and Bird Park + Jungle experience

Stop At: Iguazu Falls, Foz do Iguacu, State of Parana 85855-750 Brazil
Today you will go to the Iguazú National Park, to discover the impressive views of the waterfalls of Brazil. After the visit, the hiker will take you to the Bird Park to explore the trails of the 5 large aviaries, the flora and fauna of the jungle. After the visit to Bird's Park, a private car will take you to the small town of Andresito (100km) where you will share an amazing jungle experience. Dinner included.

Day 11: Ecoturism experience in Andresitos: Day and night tour in the jungle

Stop At: Iguazu Falls, Foz do Iguacu, State of Parana 85855-750 Brazil
You will wake up with your family in the middle of the jungle and enjoy this wonderful place where you can walk and canoe with your naturalist guide who will share the secrets of the forest, the best trails and birds of all colors.

All meals included.

At night, the more adventurous can go out for a night walk with a guide to observe owls and other nocturnal animals.

Day 12: Flight to Buenos Aires, transfer to the hotel and day/night free

After breakfast, you will leave for the airport of Puerto Iguazú to take your flight back to Buenos Aires. You will be transferred to your hotel in the city.
