It is a trip where you will visit places that would otherwise take many more days to see.

Itinerary

Day 1: Salta - Quebrada del Toro - San Antonio de Los Cobres - Tolar Grande

Pass By: Quebrada Del Toro (The Toro Gorge), from Campo Quijano to Puerta Tastil Argentina

Stop At: El Alfarcito, Ruta nacional 51, Km 82,5, Rosario de Lerma Argentina
Stop to visit the museum/church/handicraft market....rest rooms and cofee (not included)
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: San Antonio de los Cobres, San Antonio de los Cobres, Province of Salta, Northern Argentina

Stop At: Salar de Pocitos, Salta A4411 Argentina
Stop for coffee break/rest rooms and panoramic view of the salt flat

Day 2: La Casualidad mine camp - Arita hill - Arizaro Salt Flat -Tolar Grande

Stop At: Mina La Casualidad, Mina La Casualidad, Province of Salta, Northern Argentina
Sulfur mining camp abandoned in 1980, where approximately 2,000 people lived in the decades of 60-70 at 4,000 meters above sea level
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Cono de Arita, A 86 Km de Tolar Grande, Tolar Grande 4413 Argentina
Curious geological formation of a cone-shaped hill at the southern ends of the Arizaro salt flat.
Duration: 30 minutes

Pass By: Salar de Arizaro, Mina La Casualidad Argentina
The largest salt flat in Argentina: we will travel from south to north for 100 km. to return to the town of Tolar Grande.

Day 3: Tolar Grande - Salinas Grandes - Lipán - Purmamarca - Tilcara

Stop At: Salinas Grandes, 4600 Argentina
Incredible white-surface salt flat where you can walk and see how the miners extract the salt
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: The Hill of Seven Colors, Purmamarca Argentina
Well-known town by the hill of the 7 colors
Duration: 30 minutes

Day 4: Tilcara - Humahuaca - EL Hornocal - Jujuy - Salta

Stop At: Serranias Del Hornocal, 25 Kilometers From the City, Humahuaca 4630 Argentina
Mirador ubicado a 4300 mts. de altura desde donde se puede obaservar el cerro de 14 colores
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Humahuaca, Humahuaca, Province of Jujuy, Northern Argentina
Ancestral village where we will have lunch
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Pucara de Tilcara, Tilcara Argentina
Indigenous ruins of the "Omahuaca" culture used as a height fortress. We will visit them in the morning at 9:00
Duration: 45 minutes

Pass By: Camino de Cornisa, From Salta to Jujuy, Salta Argentina
After 4 days touring high deserts and salt flats, we will pass through a route with subtropical rain forest.
