Enjoy a professionally guided visit to one of the world’s largest and most attractive cemeteries and the final resting place of innumerable artists, musicians, architects, entertainers, and statesmen. A focal point is the unique art nouveaux church built between 1908-1911, which intrigues many visitors by the modern elements integrated into this beautiful Jugendstil jewel.

The Vienna Zentral Friedhof, (Central Cemetery) was plotted and developed when Vienna was a glorious and expanding metropolis and residence of the Imperial and Royal Habsburg Empire.

Visit the graves of Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms and the Strauss dynasty, along with the great architects and artists who built the attractions on Vienna’s Ringstrasse. The list is endless ranging from actors to surgeons.

There is also the historic Jewish section with its solemn reminder of Vienna’s faded past.

An optional excursion may include a visit to the Belvedere Palace - home of the famous Kiss portrait by Gustav Klimt.

Your guide will meet you at your hotel or designated meeting point and accompany you with commentary to Vienna's Zentral Cemetery via public transportation. After visiting the graves and monuments of the prominent personalities, we will conclude our excursion with a visit to the Belvedere Palace on our return to Vienna's city center.
