5 days of cultural heritage experience and wildlife adventure in Botswana

This is a unique experience for you because it combines wildlife safari with culture and heritage experience which most travelers usually miss when they visit. You will have an opportunity to interact directly with the San people showing you their culture.

This is a road trip tour which is very flexible depending on your needs at the time. We have an opportunity to stop along the way for anything that is fascinating. This is a unique thing because, also you will get the feel of how the local people survive and go about in their daily lives as we drive through towns and villages.

The wildlife part offers two types of experiences: 1) The famous Okavango delta in Moremi Reserve, which is rich in wildlife and 2) The Nxai National Park which is dry but unique with its pans, baobab trees and desert antelopes such as Gemsbok and Springbok.

Itinerary

On our first day, we depart Maun or Gaborone and travel to the land of Kalahari where we will spend at least 1 day, one night enjoying authentic San culture in the form of traditional dance, fire making, rope making, bush walk, traditional crafts making and history interpretation. We sleep in Chalets in the Kalahari near D'kar village in the Ghanzi District.

We then drive to Maun for a sleep and (2nd day). On the morning of the 3rd day we do a day trip to Moremi in the Okavango. Here we are likely to see Elephants, Hippos, Kudus, predators, some water birds and lots of common antelopes. The day trip starts early in the morning and ends late in the afternoon. We spend a night in medium cost accommodation in Maun after coming back from the day trip. On the 4th day, we visit great Makgadikgadi where we will visit Nxai pans and the great Baines baobab. Here we are likely to see springbok herders, Gemsbok, lions and leopards and some salt pans. We spend another night in Maun and on the fifth day after breakfast, i drop you off at the airport.

Driving up to khwai, Chobe and Kasane is optional and it depends on how much time you have.
