Christ the Redeemer is an art deco statue depicting Jesus Christ, located on the top of Corcovado Hill, 709 meters above sea level, in Tijuca National Park, overlooking most of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2007 it was informally elected as one of the seven wonders of the modern world.

Located at the top of Morc do Corcovado, in Tijuca National Park, the monument is the best known Brazilian image in the world. Every year, more than 600,000 people are brought to Christ the Redeemer by the centenary Corcovado Railway, the country's oldest sightseeing tour.

It all starts with the electric locomotive, centennial and twice environmentally friendly. It does not pollute and crosses the preserved Atlantic forest, belonging to the Tijuca National Park. New bars and cafeterias provide more comfort for the public, which also has retractable chairs divided by colors and produced with certified materials, such as PET bottles. Divided into five levels and in the north, south, east and west sectors, Maracanã bets on divisions to facilitate access and location of fans. Gate, sector, block, level, row and chair are the subdivisions that will allow the fan to locate their seat with greater safety and comfort. There are seats for the obese, an area reserved for people with special needs and a tactile floor for the visually impaired.

Inaugurated in 1976, the São Sebastião Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro or Metropolitan Cathedral, as it is better known, is located in the city center. The project is by modernist architect Edgar Oliveira da Fonseca, coordinated by Monsignor Ivo Antônio Calliari.
With a capacity to house 20,000 fans, its 106 meters in diameter at the base and 96 meters in height draw attention by the cone-shaped structure. The main door is composed of 48 bas-relief bronze plates that address faith-related themes. The interior has 60-meter-high stained glass ripped from the walls to the dome, providing the church with beautiful natural light.
In the basement, the Museum of Sacred Art features a collection of sculptures, murals, works of art, and the fonts used to baptize the princes of the royal family. Also on display are the statue of Our Lady of the Rosary, the throne of Peter II and the Golden Rose granted to Princess Isabel by Pope Leo XIII celebrating her signature of the Slavery Abolition Act in Brazil.

The famous Lapa Arches are part of Rio de Janeiro's history, beginning in the colonial period.

The old Carioca Aqueduct, known as Arcos da Lapa, is one of the city's postcards, as well as being the most representative symbol of the Old River preserved in the bohemian Lapa region. The structure, in mortar stone, has a Romanesque style, whitewashed, has 42 double arches and glasses on the top. Arcos da Lapa is considered the largest architectural work undertaken in Brazil during the colonial period. The Selarón Staircase is an architectural masterpiece located between the Santa Teresa and Lapa neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, decorated by long-living Chilean artist Jorge Selarón, who declared it a "tribute to the Brazilian people" .

The Selarón Staircase fills with color one of the paths between the Lapa and Santa Teresa neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro. The gigantic mosaic is the work of Chilean plastic artist Jorge Selarón, who began to devote himself to decorating the staircase in the early 1990s.

With his continuous work, and his own resources, he left a gift for the city: the 250 steps between Joaquim Silva Street and Santa Teresa Convent became a monument and an icon of Rio.
