But you are just a step away from learning about not only the rich milenia history of the city but also about the local population of this part of the world - the ancient Thracians and their predecessors as the History museum will reveal to us some of the oldest artefacts discovered in this area.
Boyana church itself is a great example of the Medieval art and even with its secret it stays in our memory forever!

The most significant and biggest Christian Orthodox cathedral on the Balkans, St. Alexander Nevski memorial church is amazing not only for its size but more with its miraculous murals, marble iconostasis, the Royal throne, the special casted chandoliers and certainly with its impressive history!

Stop At: National Museum of History, ul.Vitoshko lale 16, Sofia 1618 Bulgaria

Since 2000 the National history museum found its best location - at the former "Boyana residence" communist building - an imposing massive builiding from the best times of the communist regime in People's Republic of Bulgaria, now proividng the home for some of the best Thracian treasures, hundreds of ancient artefacts some dating from as far as 6-7 millenia BC.

Built as the local miniautre Christian Orthodox church for the local community today the church of St. Nicolas and St. Panteleimon is one of the best representatives of the Prerennaisance art, with its best preserved frescoes, revealing the future ideas of some of the great masters of the Rennaisence in Europe!

Pass By: Central Sofia Synagogue (Tsentralna Sofiiska Sinagoga), Ekzarh Joseph 16, Sofia 1000 Bulgaria

The Sephardic Sinagogue in Sofia is the third biggest in Europe and simply one of the most beautiful builidngs in the city, bearing quite a few typical symbols and surely a lot of history!

Stop At: The Rotunda Church of St George, Bul. Kniaz Aleksandar Dondukov 2, Sofia 1000 Bulgaria

The oldest preserved building in Sofia, standing there since the time Constantine the Great was permanently residng in the ancient city of Serdica, giving us the perfect understanding of some Roman pagan symbols, with preserved 5 layers of frescoes, inclusive of its Muslim period!
