Located at Algonquin Park Access Point #1, this trip is off-the-beaten-track and away from the busy and crowded sections of Algonquin Park. No experience with canoe tripping? No problem!

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Algonquin Park and beginning of 3 day Algonquin Park canoe trip

Stop At: Voyageur Quest Outfitting & Algonquin Wilderness Centre, Algonquin Park Access Point #1, Algonquin Park, ON P0A 1X0, Canada
Rendez-vous at Voyageur Quest Outfitting. After an orientation, canoe lesson, and lunch, head out across the lake and into Algonquin Park. Along the way, learn how to paddle and portage and stop for a swim in the clean, fresh water. Set up camp on a scenic point covered in Red Pine and enjoy dinner by the campfire. Lying in your tent, fall asleep to the sound of the west wind whistling high above.

Day 2: Algonquin Park canoeing, hiking, camping and backcountry exploration

Stop At: Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario 60, Ontario K0J 2M0, Canada
Push off in the early morning in search of moose. Return for a tasty breakfast and then break camp to paddle deeper into Algonquin Park to explore the lakes and rivers. A floating lunch is served before canoeing up a bog where you’re likely to catch sight of beavers, great blue herons and moose. The final stop is at a beautiful lake where you have the afternoon to hike, swim, fish, or take a siesta! Feast on another gourmet backcountry meal and bannock cooked over the fire. Take in the night sky and share stories and laughs around the fire.

Day 3: Algonquin Park canoeing and hiking back to base camp

Stop At: Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario 60, Ontario K0J 2M0, Canada
The distinctive smell of fresh coffee and bacon frying gets you out of your sleeping bag and up for breakfast. After packing up, hike through mixed maple forest and discover the unique flora and fauna of the region. Learn to solo a canoe and to navigate as you paddle back to the take-out, stopping along the way for a large smorgasbord lunch.
