Antilla Shipwreck Seabob Tour

The tour begins on Arashi Beach. The Antilla shipwreck is one of the most beloved underwater exploration sites available around Aruba. Explore it and other marine sightseeing areas on a Seabob F5 S jet.

The SS Antilla was a German cargo ship created to facilitate trade between Germany and the Caribbean on the Hamburg America Line. It was launched in 1939 but didn’t last very long. While the ship was anchored in Aruba’s Malmok Bay in 1940, German invaded the Netherlands on May 10th. The Antilla was blockaded from leaving, but the German crew set the ship on fire. After Dutch marines took the crew into custody, the Dutch marines fired two rounds of heavy artillery at the ship and sank it.

Now, the Antilla is an amazing dive site, and the third largest shipwreck in all of the Caribbean, with a small part of its starboard side exposed above water. It has been colonized by all kinds of colorful corals and tube sponges, which makes for a beautiful underwater landscape where you can see many species of fish, lobsters, hawksbill sea turtles, moray eels, blue tang and other ocean creatures.

Included in this tour is everything you need for a thrilling adventure: pickup and drop-off from your hotel, resort or nearest beach, a 2.5-hour tour, beverages, snorkel mask, wetsuit, a Seabob F5 S jet and gorgeous underwater landscapes and marine life, including the ghostly Antilla shipwreck. Three daily tours are available at 8:30am, 12:30pm, and 3:45pm.

Duration:2 hours 30 minutes
Commences in:Aruba, Caribbean
