Sewell is a mining camp with more than 100 years of history. Today this superbly well preserved and declared National Monument in 1998 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006. This charming camp, located on the Andes, has a complex network of staircases that connect the buildings, squares and other secondary stairs, residential areas, work, public spaces, clubs, schools, theaters, churches and a hospital.
