Adadi Mariam is a rock-hewn monolithic church located approximately 58 km southwest of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.The site is believed to have been built in the 12th century by king Lalibela. The monastery is also a peaceful place to have a moment of peace.

Stop At: Tiya World Heritage Site, Tiya Ethiopia

Tiya is best known for its archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site remarkable for its large stone pillars, many of which bear some form of decoration.The stelae, "32 of which are engraved with enigmatic symbols, notably swords," mark a large, prehistoric burial complex. The archaeological site was designated a World Heritage Site in 1980.
