POP- ART All-Inclusive One-Day Tour

Our Pop Art Tour will be presented with the founder of Pop Art culture in Georgia famous Georgian artists Davit Kakabadze, Avto Varazy and other contemporary Georgian artists.

Davit Kakabadze (1889 - 1952) is Georgian avant-garde painter, graphic artist and scenic designer. A multi-talent, he was also an art scholar and innovator in the field of cinematography as well as an amateur photographer.

Avto Varazi (1926 - 1977) is considered one of the most distinguished Georgian artists of the 20th century. Avto Varazi was the first painter in Georgia to experiment in Pop Art. For his works in college, he used everyday items to convey modern reality.

So, let's try to become part of the creative life of Tbilisi’s last century's twenties. Be Kakabadze and Varazi and discover the most interesting aspects of avant-garde art.

Stop At: Georgian National Museum, 3, Rustaveli Ave, Tbilisi 0105 Georgia

The tour starts from Tbilisi National Gallery (7, Rustaveli Ave., Tbilisi). We will wait for you at 10 0'clock at your hotel’s entrance and drive you to the Museum. In the Museum, you will be able to have a look at the most famous pictures of Kakabadze. The tour will be accompanied by a local guide

Stop At: Georgian Museum of Fine Arts, 7, Shota Rustaveli Ave., Tbilisi 0108 Georgia

The next stop is the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts. There is a rich collection of Pop Art works created by contemporary Georgian painters

Stop At: Old Town (Altstadt) Tbilisi, Tbilisi Georgia

Then we will have a tasty Georgian lunch in Old Tbilisi area

Stop At: Qarvasla 7 Cotne Dadiani Street, 7 Tsotne Dadiani St, T'bilisi, Georgia

After lunch, we will visit Qarvasla Tbilisi History Museum, which is located at 8 Sioni Street, between Sioni church and touristic hot spot Shardeni Street. In the beginning, this building was a store for various goods and a barrelhouse. Today it is an active tourist spot, where one can explore Georgian history in the museum, exhibition, and trade.

Then we arrange the most important part of our trip – art workshop, which implies painting sessions according to Georgian artists art with a lesson in the main elements of composition and pop-art technique.
