Stalin Tbilisi Walking Tour

Stalin Tbilisi Tour is a unique tour only offered by us exploring the incredible time period before the Soviet Union where days seemed like years because there was so much going on in little Tbilisi. Bandits, revolutionaries, Cossacks, workers, Russian officials and soldiers, Armenian shopkeepers, and Georgian nobles all battled for power in Tiflis (the old name for Tbilisi). It was a time of upheaval, terrorism, hope, strikes, and great heroes! This is the place and time that forged Stalin.

Little is known outside of Georgia about the most successful social democracy in the Russian Empire. While most have heard about the Russian Revolution, the revolution that occurred in Georgia was exemplary for the involvement of peasants, workers and Georgian intellectuals in forging a different path forward from the Russian Revolution.

We'll take a tour through the city and unlock the memories hiding in buildings and parks from the revolutionary period from 1900-1921 with Stalin.
