Day 2: Tbilisi city tour

Stop At: Tbilisi Mall, D. Aghmashenebeli Alley, 16th km, Tbilisi Georgia

Day 3: Mtskheta - Gori - Uplistsikhe tour from Tbilisi

Stop At: Jvari Church, Mtskheta Georgia
Built in the 6th century, Jvari Monastery stands on a mountaintop at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking Mtskheta. The monastery was built on the site of a large wooden cross erected by Saint Nino in the early 4th century. Jvari was listed together with other monuments of Mtskheta in 1994 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Stop At: Uplistsiche Cave Town, Kvakhvreli 15 km Eastwards to Town Gori, Gori Georgia
Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn town is Built on a high rocky left bank of the Mtkvari River.It contains various structures dating from the Early Iron Age to the Late Middle Ages, and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures from Anatolia and Iran, as well as the co-existence of pagan and Christian architecture. Uplistsikhe is identified by archaeologists as one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia. Strategically located in the heartland of ancient kingdom of Kartli it emerged as a major political and religious center of the country.

Stop At: Gori Fortress, Gori Georgia
The Joseph Stalin Museum is a museum in Gori, Georgia dedicated to the life of Joseph Stalin, the leader of the Soviet Union, who was born in Gori. The Museum retains its Soviet-era characteristics. The Museum complex consists of a memorial house, where Stalin was born, exposition building with tower and Stalin’s personal coach with interior, by which he had travelled to Tehran, Yalta and Potsdam. The Museum houses Stalin’s personal things, study room of Kremlin, manuscripts, gifts from over the world, Stalin’s mask and paintings.

Day 4: Sighnaghi - Bodbe tour from Tbilisi

Stop At: Signagi City Walls, Signagi Georgia
Georgia’s Smallest Town – City of Love, popular tourist destination due to its location at the heart of Georgia’s wine-growing regions, as well as picturesque landscapes, pastel houses and narrow cobblestone streets. Signage overlooks the vast Alazani Valley, with the Caucasus Mountains Visible al the distance. City of wine and love, as it is being called in recent years, is very much appealing to those who are tired of rush and hustle, and like everything lovely, cute and small. Walking through Sighnaghi, you might feel like in Italy - the architecture is pretty similar to small Italian towns. Romantic cobbled streets, carved balconies, 24/7 marriage registration.

Stop At: Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino, Signagi Georgia
St. Nino Convent and Bodbe (Qiziki) Eparchy Episcopacy center is located in 2 km from Sighnaghi. Cathedral was constructed in IV century AD, on the tomb of St. Nino who introduced Christianity in Georgia. Bodbe Episcopacy was founded in V century by Vakhtang Gorgasali. In VIII-IX centuries the cathedral was remade into a three-nave basilica. The Georgian king Demetre I (1125-1156) played an important role in decoration of the monastery. Bodbe monastery was renovated many times by the Georgian kings. From the end of XV century Bishop of Bodbe was the commander of Kakheti kingdom military and administrative entity.
