Tour of Mtskheta and Ufliscikhe

We drive to Mtskheta an ancient capital of Georgia, the whole city is in the list of UNESCO World Heritage site. Along the way, we will stop for visiting the Jvari Monastery (6th AD), which is first Orthodox Church in Georgia and form this place you see how two rivers crossing each other and make a delta. Then we head to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral which is known as a place where Christ’s robe was buried. Walk along the narrow streets of Mtskheta. After that, we will see Uplistsikhe (6th BC), an ancient rock-hewn town, with the ancient settlement and city center in the Caucasus. Uplistiskhe and its surrounding archeological and architectural monuments belong to a distinct group, the oldest of which dates back to the early Bronze Age, and are considered to be relics of the Kura-Araxes culture.
