Svaneti is a unique region that is worth visiting for everyone who wants to get acquainted with another Georgia - not simple and lively, but severe and majestic. Of course, here they welcome guests as much as they honor traditions, as elsewhere in the Caucasus. The region in the north-west of Georgia is very popular among climbers, lovers of beautiful landscapes and lovers of hiking.

Day 2: Ushguli

Stop At: Ushguli, Georgia
46 km. from Mestia there is a unique alpine village of Ushguli - officially the highest settlement in Europe, located at the foot of the highest peak of Georgia - Shkhara. There are about 30 medieval Svan towers and almost complete impassability that does not obscure the unreal beauty around.

Day 3: Horseback riding tour in Mestia surroundings

Stop At: Mestia, Mestia, Upper Svaneti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region
Svan towers are a symbol of Svaneti. Nowhere else in the world is there even an analogue to these unique defensive structures of the early Middle Ages. A tower was built near each house, that served as a refuge for families in case of war, as well as protection from the enemy and the elements.
