Discover Scuba Diving Adventure in Mykonos

Slip below the pristine waters of the Aegean and discover the wonders of the underwater world on this 2.5-hour PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience. With a maximum of four people per instructor, you'll be fitted for dive gear, learn some basic principles of scuba diving, and explore Paradise House Reef, home to starfishes, octopus, sponges, and more.

Arrive at the diving center on Paradise Beach at 9:15am, 12pm, or 2:30pm, depending on which departure you've booked. The instructor will introduce him or herself and get everyone acquainted before you move to the classroom to watch a 25-minute video.

The video will explain the basics of scuba diving, from safety procedures and use of the simple equipment to engaging with marine life and its environment, and introduce the skills you'll learn over the program. Your instructor will follow up with a briefing, and answer any questions you may have. Next, you'll hop into your swimwear, get fitted for diving gear and learn the basics of operating it.

From here, it's a short walk to the shore: adults will be expected to carry their own equipment. You'll learn a total of five basic practical skills in waist-height water: the instructor will demonstrate each in turn before you repeat them. Once everyone is solid on their skills, you'll fin out into the Aegean.

Under the careful eye of your instructor, you'll explore the rocky outcrop known as Paradise House Reef. Moving effortlessly under the water, you'll see some classic Mediterranean marine species, from octopus, starfish, and sponges through to sea bream.

Your experience will end when you return to the centre and remove your gear, around 11:45am, 2:30pm, or 5pm. Hotel pickup and drop-off can be arranged for a surcharge.
