Stop At: Boutari Winery, Megalochori 84700 Greece

Boutari is one of the most awarded and most historical companies of quality wine making in Greece. Since its establishment in 1879 in Naoussa, the company has set the foundations for the production of top quality wine and has contributed greatly to the revival and development of indigenous varieties in all regions it has been active with its wineries. Boutari winemakers started exploring winemaking opportunities on Santorini at the end of the 1980’s. The first harvest at their winery next to the traditional village of Megalochori was in 1989. For the past 30 years, their agronomists and winemakers brought great experience and innovative thinking to Santorini’s viticultural community.

Stop At: Canava Santorini Distillery, Mesaria 84700 Greece

CANAVA SANTORINI was established in 1974 on Santorini island by Evagellos Lygnos. Today his son Loukas Lygnos still produces CANAVA SANTORINI's fine spirits with the same principles and the same local materials. The same recipes inherited through generations are still being used.

At CANAVA SANTORINI they follow a traditional slow procedure to prepare our OUZO in handmade Greek copper alembic still. The superior quality of CANAVA SANTORINI OUZO* is characterised by the aroma and the taste of the currants of Santorini’s Asyrtiko, saffron and anise.

Stop At: Venetsanos Winery, Eparchiaki Odos Firon-Ormou Perissis, Megalochori 84701 Greece

Venetsanos winery is located right above the port of Athinios, overlooking the magnificent caldera of Santorini. The Venetsanos family has a very long tradition in producing wine. Originally was produced for the island and subsequently it was exported extensively, and particularly to countries such as Russia. It was built in 1947 by Venetsanos family and became the first industrial winery on the island. Its most distinguished feature is the structural design, which essentially used gravity, facilitating energy efficiency, at a time when access to electricity and other energy sources was very limited. The winery was built in an unconventional manner constructed from above and moving downwards.

The Union of Santorini Cooperatives, SantoWines was founded in 1947. Today, it consists of the largest organization of the island representing all the cultivators and counting 1.200 active members. SantoWines is committed to safeguarding the local traditional cultivations , producing highest quality Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Santorini wines and products as well as promoting sustainable agriculture development.


Stop At: Lighthouse, Akrotiri 84700 Greece

Akrotiri Lighthouse is a 19th-century lighthouse on the Greek island of Santorini. The lighthouse was built by a French company in 1892, making the lighthouse one of the oldest in Greece. The lighthouse ceased operating during World War II. The Greek Navy recommissioned the lighthouse in 1945

Stop At: Kambia Beach, Southwest Coast Greece

Kambia Beach is located at the south west coast of Santorini, in Akrotiri village, about 13 kilometers away from the capital Fira. It lies between the famous Red Beach and White Beach which constitute impressive landscapes, close to the beautiful lighthouse of Akrotiri. It is easily accessible by car or bike, through a 15 min drive on a dirt road that leads there.

Kambia is a lovely, little beach characterized by crystal-clear waters, large volcanic pebbles and is surrounded by cliffs that provide partial natural shade. Since its seabed is rocky, there is a makeshift platform for easy access to the water. It is a semi-organized beach with some umbrellas and sun beds available to rent. There is also an adorable traditional Greek tavern and snack bar by the sea where tourists can keep cool and savor typical local dishes, drinks and fresh fish.

Stop At: Akrotiri Archaeological Site, Akrotiri 84700 Greece

Akrotiri is a Minoan Bronze Age settlement on the volcanic Greek island of Santorini. The name and the population are currently Greek. The civilization of the Bronze Age city, however, shows affinities to early Cretan civilization, which, going by its writing system, was undoubtedly not Greek.
