Cave was fire giant’s home once and with total length of 1970 m is the longest Icelandic lava tube. With its close neighbor Stefánshellir cave, combined length of tunnels reaches 3,5 km. Our unique exploration tour combines both mythological and geological aspects of lava cave genesis. Right at the shadow of Eiriksjokull glacier one will find place that confronts many legends and tales. Place that once has been home of powerful God Surt and outlaws. At the same time the longest lava tube labyrinth in Iceland. Very diverse with huge chambers as well as with narrow and curvy passages.
