5-Day Golden Triangle Tour to The Taj Mahal Agra and Jaipur from Delhi

Morning drive to Agra and visit Agra Fort, UNESCO World Heritage Site this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. And Visit Taj Mahal – Agra, takes us through the beautiful countryside. After agra drive to Jaipur and visit Hawa Mahal / Palace of the Winds this elaborate building, now little more than a façade. Last Day we visit the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206 and drive pass The India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi (No Meal)

Pass By: New Delhi, New Delhi, National Capital Territory of Delhi
Arrive at New Delhi Airport and met your driver and transfer to the hotel in New Delhi

Overnight at a 5* Hotel: La Meridian or similar

Day 2: Delhi to 3-Hrs drive to Agra (B,L)

Pass By: India Gate, Rajpath Near Connaught Place New Delhi, New Delhi 110001 India
8am Depart your Delhi hotel by private, climate-controlled vehicle, and make the approximately 3-hour journey to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway.

At 1pm you will make a stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

2pm You will visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses 94 acres, and It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal.

Evening - enjoy Photo Tour of Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh — The Moonlit Garden, A little known prime viewing spot of the Taj Mahal exists opposite the monument on the northern shores of the Yamuna River in Agra. It is Mehtab Bagh, a centuries old garden complex, open to the public but little advertised and not easily visited for short term Agra visitors.

Evening - enjoy shopping in Agra is known for its fabulous handicrafts, made of marble and softstone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Agra's major handicraft products besides inlay work are: leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewellery and embroidery work.

Day 3: Agra City tour and 4-Hrs drive to Jaipur (B,L)

6am Pickup and we visit Sunrise the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created.

At 1pm you will make a stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

2pm Drive to the pink city, Jaipur. Along the way, visit Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which has been described as the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town.

Day 4: Jaipur Full Day City Tour (B,L)

Pass By: Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, Hawa Mahal Tripolia Bazaar Road Badi Choupad, J.D.A. Market, Pink City, Jaipur 302002 India
8am Pickup and we visit the dramatic hilltop Fortress at Amber. On the way back, stop to view the elegant Hawa Mahal or Palace of the Winds. This elaborate building, now little more than a façade, is covered with delicate screens.

At 1pm you will make a stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

2pm Visit the Maharajah’s City Palace, a unique fusion of Mughal and Hindu architecture, now partly a museum housing a rare collection of paintings, Rajput armory and costumes.

3pm Lastly, visit Jaipur’s Observatory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is the most significant, most comprehensive, and the best preserved of India's historic observatories.

Day 5: Jaipur to 4-Hrs drive to Delhi (B,L)

7am After breakfast, 4-Hrs drive back to New Delhi.

At 1pm you will make a stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

2pm Leave for New Delhi sightseeing and visit the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206.

You will also see The India Gate, a memorial raised in honor of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war and drive past the grand government buildings the President’s House and Parliament House all dating back to the time of British Raj.

Late evening transfer to the New Delhi Airport for your home-bound flight.
