You will be received by our representative and private guide and taken to Old Cochin. Cochin heritage tour starts with Dutch Palace(closed on Fridays). Though Built by Portuguese in 1555, it is known as Dutch Palace. The main glory of the Dutch Palace is the art form of Hindu Temple. Dutch Cemetery was built in the year 1724 and the oldest cemetery in India. Nearby Bishop House we find out Indo- Portuguese Museum.
Jewish Synagogue (closed on Friday noon and Saturday) another historic attraction of Cochin heritage tour. A number of Copper plates described in Hebrew script are maintained here. The next capture point is St.Francis Church built by Portuguese in 1510. Vasco-da-Gama was buried here and later 14 years his remains were taken to Portugal. Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica is nearby and it’s also by Portuguese in the year 1505
The Chinese Fishing nets are another famous spot in Fort Cochin.

Chinese fishing nets (Cheena vala) are fishing nets that are fixed land installations for fishing. While commonly known as "Chinese fishing nets" The Chinese fishing nets have become a very popular tourist attraction. Their size and elegant construction are photogenic and the slow rhythm of their operation is quite hypnotic.

Stop At: Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Parade & KB Jacob Road Fort Cochin, Kochi (Cochin) 682001 India

The Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica at Fort Kochi is one of the eight Basilicas in Kerala. Counted as one of the heritage edifices of Kerala, this church is one of the finest and most impressive churches in India and visited by tourists the whole year-round. It is a place of devotion as well as a centre of historic significance, endowed with architectural and artistic grandeur and colours of the gothic style. The basilica serves as the Cathedral church of the Diocese of Cochin.

The St. Francis Church, well-known for its beautiful structural design and ambience, has an important place in history. It is here that the famous explorer, Vasco-da-Gama, was originally buried. His remains would be taken back 14 years later but to this day, the exact spot is clearly marked. The place is known for its deep Dutch and Portuguese influences and is an architectural marvel in itself.The credit for its construction goes to the Portuguese Franciscan Friars in 1503.

The Dutch connection of Fort Kochi does not end with the above mentioned two churches. Down the road from St Francis Church, that runs parallel to the beach, stands the Dutch Cemetery. The cemetery, which was consecrated in 1724, is believed to be the oldest in the country

Historic Jew Town, the heart of the once-thriving Cochin Jewish community, is known for its old-world charm and 16th-century Paradesi Synagogue. Quaint shops around Synagogue Lane and Jew Town Road sell antiques, carvings, and vintage collectables, along with Kerala crafts and aromatic spices. Laid-back outdoor cafes and artsy eateries, some in heritage buildings, serve local specialities and Western fare.
