One of the oldest churches in Margao, it was built in 1564 by the Jesuits after the Portuguese demolished the Damodar Temple.

The famous Sat Burzam Ghor or House of Seven Gables is a magnificent mansion commissioned in 1790 by Sebastino da Silva, emissary and private secretary of the Portuguese Viceroy. Of the seven original gables, only three remain today.
