East Bali Tour Lempuyang Temple - Gate of Heaven Tirta Gangga Virgin Beach

We offer a great experience to explore the beauty of east Bali, especially the popular photography spot "Gate of Heaven" of Lempuyang Temple. We will start the tour at 08.00 from the hotel, it will take around 2 - 3 hours drive to Lempuyang Temple (Depend on location of your hotel). There are 7 temples inside the Lempuyang Temple compound. If you wish to explore all the temples, you will need around 4 hours in the site. On this tour, we will only take you to the famous photo spot which is located at the first temple, around 5 minutes walks. So you won’t have to walk far before you get your cameras out. You will see Mt Agung via the Gateway to Heaven – the photo spot if the sky is clear and weather is good. Next, we will drive to Tirta Gangga, a former Royal Palace of Karangasem Kingdom. After visiting the palace, we will stop for lunch at local restaurant. Next, we will drive to Taman Ujung. It is a beautiful park with big fish pond surrounds the old Karangasem Empire heritage building

Lempuyang Temple is one of Bali’s oldest and most highly regarded temples, on par with Besakih (aka the ‘mother temple’ of Bali). It is also believed to predate the majority of Hindu temples on the island. Definitely a highlight on any travel itinerary for the fit and adventurous, the main temple lies at 1,175m above sea level, up on the peak of the namesake Mount Lempuyang in East Bali.

Tirta Gangga Water Palace is situated in the middle of rice fields around the natural springs of Rejasa, approximately 7 km. (5 miles) north of Amlapura, the main town of east Bali, Indonesia. Tirtagangga royal watergarden is composed mainly by water, plants and sculptures, is a well-known cultural object of Bali and it belongs to the royal family of Karangasem.
