Day 1 : KNO (Kuala Namu Airport) - Parapat - Samosir Island --> arr flight must be in the morning before 11 am

KNO - Parapat +/-170 km +/- 5 hrs / Parapat - Samosir by ferry 1 hour

Day 2 : Samosir Island tour halfday by boat (B) 

Day 3 : Samosir Island - Parapat - Brastagi - Medan (B)

Samosir - Parapat by ferry +/- 1 hour ; Parapat - Brastagi +/- 140 km +/- 4 hrs then Brastagi - Medan +/- 65 km +/- 2,5 hrs

Day 4 : City Tour - Transfer Out / dept (B)

Medan - apt +/- 40 km +/- 60-90 mins

Arrive at airport, meet and greet at the airport then depart for Parapat – famous mountain and lake resort on the east shore of the immense volcanic Lake Toba, about 175 km from airport.  En route, first hour pass by several small towns and then followed by vast view of rubber, oil palm plantations, paddy terraces, etc. Stopover at Paten, local snack shop for toilet break. Arrive in Parapat, cross over to Samosir Island, an island in the middle of Lake Toba in 45 mins by public ferry. Check in hotel.

 

Day 2 : Samosir Island tour halfday by boat (B) 

After breakfast start on Samosir Tour halfday by motorboat. Visit the Tomb of King Sidabutar and Batak Toba Village at Tomok. Then to Ambarita, a traditional village with ancient megalithic furniture in front of the traditional house. Back to hotel.

Rest of the day free on own activities to explore the beauty of Samosir Island. You can walk around the island, rent bicycles (own expenses) or just swimming and sun bathing.

 

Day 3 : Samosir Island - Parapat - Brastagi - Medan (B)

Samosir - Parapat by ferry +/- 1 hour ; Parapat - Brastagi +/- 140 km +/- 4 hrs then Brastagi - Medan +/- 65 km +/- 2,5 hrs

After breakfast depart for Brastagi via the Ring Road of Lake Toba. En route pass by pine tree plantation, the magnificent scenery of Lake Toba, fertile vegetable and fruit farms. Visit the ancient King’s Palace of Simalungun at Pematang Purba. Proceed to the slender Sipiso-piso Waterfall which drops into Lake Toba from hundred of meter height. Arrive in Brastagi, a refreshing mountain resort dominated by two active volcanoes, visit the fruit market. Depart for Medan via some part of the lush tropical rain forest of Sumatra in two-and-half-hour time. Arrive in Medan, check in hotel.

 

Day 4 : City Tr - Trsf Out / dept (B)

Medan - apt +/- 40 km +/- 60-90 mins

Breakfast at hotel. Start on Medan City Tour if time is permissible. City tour of Medan visit Maimun Palace of Old Deli Sultanate and Tjong A Fie Mansion. Four hours before departure flight start transfer to the airport for the flight to your next destination.

Objects of city tour can be reduced if dept flight is early.
