Toraja, the sacred highland on Sulawesi Island in Indonesia. It has been isolated for centuries, fortified by blue misty mountains. It kept the centuries old civilisation alive. Magnificent fully carved wooden houses and granaries are spread everywhere in the plateaus of Toraja. It enriched by typical Toraja mortuary rituals where the deceased are buried in caves and chiselled rock cliffs after completing the colourful funeral ceremonies.
