Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up at the airport/hotel, then continue the trip to Rammang Rammang.

Stop At: Rammang-Rammang Village, Dusun Rammang-Rammang Desa Salenrang, Maros Indonesia
Rammang-Rammang is a place in the karst mountain range (limestone) in Maros-Pangkep. It settled in Salenrang village, District Bontoa, Maros, South Sulawesi province, or about 40 km north of Makassar.

Stop At: Bantimurung National Park, Jl. Akses Maros Bulusaraung National Park, Maros Indonesia
Located in the Maros regency in the province of South Sulawesi, the Bantimurung Bulusaraung National Park is a mere 50 km from Makassar or 20 km from the Sultan Hasanuddin international airport. The Bantimurung National Park has a total area of approximately 43,750 hectares and is divided into three major types of ecosystems, namely the karst ecosystems, a lowland forest ecosystem, and a lower montane forest ecosystem.

Day 2: Samalona Island (Snorkeling) – Fort Rotterdam

Stop At: Samalona Island, Lae-Lae, Ujung Pandang, Makassar City, South Sulawesi, Indonesia
Samalona Island has a beach with fne white sand and the sea water that is pure blue. On this island, there are many coconut trees that give dramatic nuance over the beauty. Samalona Island is also famous for the beauty of the underwater. Those who visit this island can do swimming and diving, while seeing the beautiful coral reefs with colorful sea fishes.

Stop At: Fort Rotterdam, Ujung Pandang Street, Makassar Indonesia
The current fort was built by the Dutch around the year 1667 but the first defensive structures consisting of a simple dirt wall where built here a century before in 1545 by Raja Tunipalangga. The Dutch Admiral Cornelis Speelman concurred the fort in 1667 and renamed it after his birthplace, Rotterdam. Soon the fort was rebuilt with 6 meter high and 2 meters thick walls. In the inside arose Dutch houses and a church. The fort became the center of Dutch colonial power on the island of Sulawesi.

Day 3: Paotere – Somba Opu - Transfer Out

Stop At: Paotere Harbor, Makassar Indonesia
Pelabuhan Paotere, 4km north of the city centre, is a large port where Bugis sailing ships berth. It's a working port, with requisite bustle and grime, but the ships are photogenic, and people generally friendly. The port and the nearby fish market are atmospheric places from dawn until mid-morning, when giant tuna and every sea creature imaginable are traded.

Makassar is one of Indonesia's greatest port cities that is definitely a trip worth taking.
