Succede solo a Bologna has created a new tourist route that gives visitors the opportunity to access the panoramic view of the Prendiparte Tower. By climbing 12 floors to the terrace, visitors can admire the historic center of Bologna from a height of about 6O meters. All donations and proceeds from the Prendiparte Sky Experience initiative are dedicated to t h e mai n te nan ce and restoration of monuments and/or sites managed by us.

In his book “Storia delle Torri” (“History of the Towers”), published in 1875, Gozzadini very precisely describes the number and positions of the small cells, as well as transcribing some of the inscriptions left on the walls by prisoners in the past. Following a painstaking restoration and careful cleaning of the walls, it is now possible to view the large number of inscriptions, writings, laments, and drawings which have survived despite two and a half centuries of neglect. These strictly male curia cells were used to imprison and punish those who had committed crimes against religion or had somehow offended Christian ethics..
