Private 3-day tour in Sicily

A brief tour of the UNESCO and historical heritage of Sicily. It starts the first day for the visit of Monreale and Palermo, the lunch time included in the price must be chosen by the customer together with the driver or guide when picking up at the hotel.
The second day we start discovering Erice, a medieval village above Trapani and then after lunch we proceed to Segesta. Return to the hotel at the end.
The third day ends with a visit to the archaeological park of the Valley of the Temples, with lunch included in one of the best farms in the area.

Itinerary

Day 1: Palermo and Monreale

Stop At: Duomo di Monreale, Piazza Guglielmo II 1, 90046, Monreale, Sicily Italy
The Cathedral of Santa Maria Nuova is the main place of Catholic worship in Monreale, in the metropolitan city of Palermo, archbishop's see of the Archdiocese of Palermo.

 In the basement of the Convent of the Capuchins are the famous catacombs of the Capuchins in Gothic style, so called but actually cemetery and not catacomb, that is a place of worship and early Christian reunion.

The Palatine Chapel is a three-aisled basilica located within the architectural complex of the Palazzo dei Normanni in Palermo. The church is dedicated to St. Peter the Apostle.

I Quattro Canti, or piazza Villena, or Ottagono del Sole, or Teatro del Sole, is the name of an octagonal square at the intersection of the two main roads of Palermo: the Via Maqueda and the Cassaro, today Via Vittorio Emanuele, in the middle about their length.

The Teatro Massimo Vittorio Emanuele, better known as Teatro Massimo, of Palermo is the largest opera theater building in Italy, and one of the largest in Europe, third by architectural magnitude after the Opéra National de Paris and the Staatsoper of Vienna.

The Capo market, is an important point of agri-food retail trade. It is a very lively and characteristic, even folkloristic, food market: the colors, the screams (vuci) of the sellers, the animation of the stalls make it an essential element of the character of the city of Palermo.

The Politeama Garibaldi Theater is located on Piazza Ruggero Settimo in the center of Palermo. The name derives from the Greek "πολύς" and "θεάομαι".

La Cala is a sea arch between the Via Francesco Crispi and the Foro Italico and corresponds to the oldest port in the city of Palermo, and is currently accessed through the entrance to the Port of Palermo.

Day 2: Erice and Segesta

Stop At: Erice, Erice, Province of Trapani, Sicily
According to Thucydides Erice (Eryx, Έρυξ in ancient Greek) was founded by the Trojan exiles, who fleeing in the Mediterranean Sea would have found the ideal place to settle there; according to Thucydides, the Trojans joined the native population and then gave birth to the Elimi people. It was disputed by the Syracusans and the Carthaginians until the conquest by the Romans in 244 BC

Stop At: Tempio di Segesta, Contrada Barbaro SNC, 91013 Calatafimi-Segesta, Sicily Italy
The temple, sometimes called the "Great Temple", was built during the last thirty years of the fifth century BC, [1] on the top of a hill west of the city, outside its walls. It is a large hexastyle peripteral temple (ie with six columns on the shorter side, not grooved). On the long side it instead presents fourteen columns (a total of 36 therefore, 10 meters high). The current state of preservation presents the entire colonnade of the complete peristasis of the entire entablature.

Day 3: Valley of the Temples

Stop At: Valle dei Templi, Piazza Archeologica 1 Via Panoramica Dei Templi, 92100, Agrigento, Sicily Italy
The Valley of the Temples is an archaeological area of Sicily characterized by the exceptional state of conservation and a series of important Doric temples of the Hellenic period. It corresponds to the ancient Akragas, a monumental original nucleus of the city of Agrigento. Today it is a regional archaeological park.

Since 1997 the entire area has been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is considered a sought after tourist destination, in addition to being the symbol of the city and one of the main ones of the whole island. The archaeological and landscape park of the Valley of the Temples, with its 1300 hectares, is the largest archaeological site in the world.

In 2011 it was visited by 583,465 people.
