Private Tour Naples Half Day Experience

Our driver will pick you up in front of your hotel and take you to discover the spectacular city of Naples on this self-guided tour. The tour will start with the astonishing Piazza del Gesù, one of the most beautiful squares in Naples. Naples is one of the oldest continuously-inhabited cities in the world. Bronze Age Greek settlements were established in the Naples area in the second millennium BC.

There is a famous Italian saying that goes, “see Naples and then die” - and it is not just for the delicious aroma of freshly-baked pizzas. Naples represents a raw, passionate, secretive, generous, dilapidated, glorious, and vibrant southern Italian city.

Mt. Vesuvius looms over the city, which overlooks a marvelous bay. The area's beauty has served as an inspiration for many artists.

Enjoy the allure of the landscape, the beautiful islands that dot the blue waters of the Mediterranean like jewels, and the energy of a fiery and vivacious people whose popular songs and delicious recipes never fade. Wander in the historical center, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is at once modern and ancient - the street plan is older than the hills, and the buildings have contained shops and apartments for centuries.

Visit the Veiled Christ sculpture in the Sansevero chapel, which shows the figure of Christ lying under what looks like the thinnest of fabrics. Visit the stunning Piazza del Plebiscito (and the Royal Palace), the temple San Francesco di Paola, and the Gravina Palace.

After driving down one of the famous streets of Spaccanapoli, you will reach Piazza San Domenico. There, you will taste Naples’ typical pastry, a sfogliatella, with a legendary "espresso" (Naples is the best-known Italian city for coffee).

You will then reach the Cathedral and the Chapel of the Treasury that contains the holy blood of San Gennaro, the patron saint of the city of Naples. The tour includes a stop at the oldest pizzeria in town to taste the popular pizza fritta.

Then learn about the Naples underground. No, we’re not talking about the metro line - we are referring to the Roman and Greek ruins literally under your feet.

There are many more things you can visit in Naples, so prepare yourself to discover the “most unlikely Italian masterpiece.”

A tour guide is not included, so you may want to bring a guidebook. Remember to check websites for opening times of the location and the price of entrance tickets. Entrance fees are not included.
