Stop At: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy

You will meet with your guide at either 8.30 am or 2.00 pm outside the Colosseum Metro Station and with privileged access go straight to the Colosseum.  Inside this magnificent area, one of the most well-preserved and famous ancient monuments in the world you can really get a feel of how it must have been to be a spectator all of those centuries ago. 

Your guide will explain something of the history and architecture and of the contests that took place between gladiators and exotic animals. 

Next you climb the Palatine Hill.  Take in the stunning views and marvel at the Emperor’s Palace with its wonderful mosaics and frescoes.  Last stop on the tour is the Roman Forum, the centre of political, religious and social life in ancient Rome. 

It is then outside again to see the Arch of Constantine and to take a walk to the Roman Forum, Ancient Rome’s main square and the centre of activity, political, religious and social.  You will see the 1st-centrury Arch of Titus, the House of the Vestal Virgins, the Temple of the Sun and the stunning white marble Arch of Septimus Severus, the ruins of the Senate House, the Temple of Julius Caesar and the Triumphal Arches bear testament to its auspicious past.
