1 Day Private Hakone Tour (Charter) - English Speaking Driver

The Nanki/Kishu area is a beautiful area, not too widely toured by foreign visitors. With the itinerary and the scenic drive, it is a combination that is quite unforgettable. The itinerary can be adjusted as necessary and stops requested along the way. Please feel free to request any changes at any time.

Once we have finished Koyasan, we will be heading to Gomadanzan peak which is the highest peak in Wakayama looking over the magnificent view of the mountain ranges (the breathtaking view can`t be explained in words!).
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Ryujin Onsen, Ryujinmura, Tanabe 645-0412 Wakayama Prefecture
From there we will head down to Ryuujin where you can choose to stay at my retreat or your choice of local Ryokan at the Ryuujin onsen annex, which I will be assisting you in booking. Ryuujin onsen is one of the "3 Beauty onsens" of Japan and the hot springs have been used for around 1200 years. I will be dropping you off at your stay and come back in the morning to continue our tour!
Duration: 8 hours

Meals included:
• Lunch: We will have Lunch at either Koyasan or Gomadanzan if desired. It is not included in the cost, but very well priced!
• Dinner: If you do choose to stay at one of the Rokans, dinner is typically included. Otherwise, I can take you to my favourites!
Accommodation included: My place, offers breakfast with stay for 6900 yen, otherwise the local Ryokans offer spectacular experience!

Day 2: Hongu, Nachi falls, Hashiku Iwa, Senjoujiki, Kizetsukyou

Stop At: Kumano Hongū Taisha, 1110 Hongūchō Hongū, Tanabe, Wakayama 647-1731, Japan
At the central hub of the Kumanokodo pilgrimage trail, the Hongutaisha shinto shrine is believed to be one of the major power spots of Japan. Listed in the UNESCO, it is a site to see!

Stop At: Nachi Mitaki Falls, Nachiyama, Nachikatsura-cho, Higashimuro-gun 649-5301 Wakayama Prefecture
As the tallest fall of Japan, Nachi falls is home to both Shinto shrine and Buddhist temple. A small fee lets you see the falls up close and enter the beautiful shinto shrine. Above the hills overlooking the area is Seigantoji buddhist temple. Both are listed in the UNESCO heritage sites and absolutely beautiful.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Hashigui Rock, 1549-8 Kujinokawa, Kushimoto-cho, Higashimuro-gun 649-3511 Wakayama Prefecture
During our drive down the pacific coast, we will be stopping at the Hashigui-iwa rock formation. The standing boulders is an image to amaze any visitors. During low tides, you can walk out to the small formations and see what destructive force took down these natural walls!

Stop At: Senjojiki, Shirahamacho, Shirahama-cho, Nishimuro-gun 649-2211 Wakayama Prefecture
Senjojiki directly translate to "thousand tatmi layers". Looking out into the pacific ocean, this plateau offers some of the wonders of natural sights to see in the Nanki region. Though it isn`t promoted too often by tourism, It is a must see of the region. It also photographs really well!
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Kizetsukyo, Kamiakizu, Tanabe 646-0102 Wakayama Prefecture
This smaller fall is quite a treat. Though there isn`t much of written history, the Kizetsukyou gorge has been home to many monks throughout time. A small shrine is placed below a giant boulder and the Amida is carved into the mountain above. This is kind of a hidden gem for locals and not widely known. Very beautiful sight to see.
Duration: 30 minutes

Meals included:
• Lunch: We will stop somewhere along the way.
• Dinner: Tanabe is known for the fish that is caught around the area. I do recommend Marucho restaurant which is a great place!
