Have you ever seen the picture of this impressive red gate in the blue sea? That is Miyajima and the gate of Itsukushima shrine. This tour takes you to Miyajima Island by train and ferry and we have a stroll on the island including its beautiful temples and the UNESCO world heritage Itsukushima Shrine.

※This tour includes guide service and entrance fee to Itsukushima Shrine. Transportation fee is excluded. 260 yen (Hiroden), 360 yen (Ferry/Return) and 410 yen (JR train) to be paid on their own. JR Pass is valid on JR train and ferry. Visit Hiroshima Tourist Pass is valid on Hiroden.

Miyajima Omotosando. The lively and colourful shopping and restaurant street of Itsukshima shrine town.

Stop At: Senjokaku, Miyajimacho Itsukushima Shrine, Hatsukaichi 739-0588 Hiroshima Prefecture

Hall of the thousand mats built under Toyotomi Hideyoshi one of the key figures of the era of the warring states and one of the unifiers of Japan. See the amazing foundation that kept large building stable for over 400 years

Stop At: Itsukushima Shrine Torii, Miyajimacho, Hatsukaichi 739-0588 Hiroshima Prefecture

The 1200 year old "floating" gate of Itsukushima Shrine. The world heritage everybody has seen, but nobody really knows where it is. Majestically standing in the Bay of Itsukshima. During low tides you can even walk to it and touch a place that rests deep in the Japanese soul.

Stop At: Itsukushima Shrine, 1-1 Miyajimacho, Hatsukaichi 739-0588 Hiroshima Prefecture

The “floating” shrine. Home to legends and stories and a place that is absolutely unique. Built in 684, one of the oldest, most beautiful and most important Shinto shrines in Japan part of the largest nature religion in existence most beautifully placed at the beach of Itsukushima and also the oldest Noh (performing art) stage is a place you will never forget.

Stop At: Daiganji Temple, Miyajimacho, Hatsukaichi 739-0535 Hiroshima Prefecture

The oldest temple on Miyajima and home of the Goddess Benzaiten or Benten, the Goddess of Music and learning. A place of beauty where you will be able to connect to ancient Buddhism.

Stop At: Daishoin Temple, 210 Miyajimacho, Hatsukaichi 739-0592 Hiroshima Prefecture

A real lost diamond, while tourists flow in masses to Itskushima shrine, this place stays peaceful. So Important the even the Dalaih Lama but overshadowed by the mighty gate of Itsukushima. This beautiful temple at the foot of Mount Misen with its hundreds of Jizen Bodhisattvas, the former home of the head priest of Itsukushima shrine and the Headquarters of Shingen Buddhism is actually a must on the tour and it will leave a deep impression with you.
