Daily David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre Tour

0830 Hours: The tour begins by a pickup from your hotel/ residence within Nairobi followed by a transfer to the Giraffe Centre.
1015 Hours: Proceed to the David sheldrick elephant orphanage located in a secluded area of the Nairobi national park. Here, orphaned baby elephants and other animals are taken care of by a dedicated team of conservationists.
The elephant orphanage is open to the public one hour a day.
1100 Hours: The baby animals are brought from the national park for a mud-bath at the orphanage for an hour where you can get a close view. You shall have an opportunity to view the handlers feeding them.
For the next 10 to 15 minutes you will watch each little one slurp and gargle their milk.
1200 Hours: Later transfer back to your Nairobi hotel/ residence

David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage Giraffe Centre Nairobi Tour is a half day city excursion that combines two popular Nairobi attractions – the Giraffe Centre and the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.

Pay a visit to the Giraffe Center to observe the Rothschild’s Giraffe at close quarters. The Giraffe Centre is a conservation centre that breed the endangered Rothschild's Giraffe.

The giraffes are later moved to Lake Nakuru National Park, Mwea Game Reserve, Ruma National Park and Nasalot Game Reserve.

Next you will spend an hour at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage observing baby and young orphaned elephants.viewing is strictly between 1100 Hours and 1200 Hours.
