Konorchek canyon is an amazing tourist destination in an eastern part of Kyrgyz Range. It is Grand canyon of Kyrgyzstan.

Pass By: Bishkek, Bishkek

Once your guide meets you at your guesthouse at 8:00 am you will be driven 125 km / two hours to the head of the trail in Boom Gorge and start trekking up the narrow canyon. The trek is not challenging, but in a few places, it could be hard for some guests. The trek is ~12/14 km and it total amount of time trekking is between 3-5 hours. You will be trekking in a dry canyon where there is almost nosing of life such as green trees, animals, and it's a huge contracts to the rest of Kyrgyzstan. Once you reach the panorama peak we will have lunch and there will be time to take pictures and to soak up the views of nature. The local legend is that you can see statues/people in the rocks. An additional local legend is that it was once a volcano a few million years ago and that’s why it’s so dry. It’s a great place to see all year round. I think winter is the best time to see Konorchek Canyons because of the contrast between the snow and sand. After the trek, you will be brought back to your guesthouse in Bishkek.
