Ala-Kul lake Trekking, Celestial Mountains
Kyrgyzstan is great country for travellers who love outdoor activities. Hundreds of trails to trek with its stunning views. Altyn Arashan, Ala Kul, Sirota via Karakol Gorge is one of the most wanted trek in Kyrgyzstan. It is still possible to trek In late September, October. But you need to keep in your mind and be prepared for all type of weather, rain, hail, snow, cold, freeze and more. The weather is unpredictable and can change few times a day like a child. It can be sunny and warm when you start, but can get worse later when you are in nature, where is no guest houses to stay warm, so pack your warm clothes no matter what weather is like in the morning when you start from Karakol. Have a look at the pics taken in 3 days trek. One is 11,13 Sept 2018 and another one is 19,21 Oct 2018. Day 1. 11th sept, It was great, sunny and warm, and about half meters of snow next morning and freezing cold. Very difficult to find the way to cross the pass.
Bishkek - Karakol: Meeting you in your place and drive to Karakol, on the way visit Burana Tower from 11th century.
Treking to Sirota: Trekking from Karakol into Karakol valley and forward to Sirota 5-6h trek, 15-18km (highest point 2900m, up from 1750m)
Trek to Altyn Arashan trough Ala Kol lake: we start the trek to climbing to Ala kul lake which lyies at alt 3500m. And continue climbing to cross the pass at 3840m. Fabulous views to peaks and ranges of Tien Shan. And down to Keldike. swiming in hot spring 7/8h trekking. 18-20km (highest point 3840m up/down 1050m) camp at alt 2350m
Trekking to Aksuu (Karakol): after breakfast start walking down to Aksuu on the car road. And meet with driver at the end of village in Aksuu to transfer to Karakol. 4-5h trek, down 10-15km Karakol at alt 1745m and transfer to karakol
Continue tour around Yssyk Kul or drive to other places. Or drive back to Bishkek:
