Cameron Highlands in Pahang is one of Malaysia's most popular tourist destinations, a collection of peaceful townships perched 1500 meters high on a nest of serene mountains. Cooling resorts, tea plantations and strawberry farms sprawl lazily across lush valleys and meandering hillslopes, the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday.

The sea of tranquility, pleasant landscapes and cold climate impart a special experience upon the multitudes of visitors each year. Meanwhile, a different world lies hidden away among the natural surroundings - a rainforest ecosystem rich with the wonders of nature, long held with fascination by researchers and naturalists across the world.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hotel Transfer and Half Day Tour

Pass By: Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan
Pickup from hotel and leaving to Cameron Highlands for almost about 3 ½ hours of journey thru Norty and South Expressway. Along the trip travelers can view the greenier scenery of Palm Oil Plantation on both side of the expressway.

Stop At: Lata Iskandar, Jalan Tapah-Brinchang-Blue Valley-Cameron Highlands, Tapah 35000 Malaysia
A quick stop at waterfall for relaxing a muscle after seating inside of a car for almost about 2 ½ hours and travellers can enjoy the beautiful waterfall on the way up to Cameron Highlands after pass through an aborigines settlement.

Stop At: Cameron Valley Tea House, 15-16 Main Road Pahang Darul Makmur, Tanah Rata 39000 Malaysia
Cameron Valley Tea House and plantation is located along the main road in Kuala Terla, a village township nestled between Tringkap and Kampung Raja about 7km north of Kea Farm in Brinchang. One of two plantations owned by the Bharat Group in Cameron Highlands, Cameron Valley is smaller than Bharat Teaat Tanah Rata, but features a more peaceful environment due to its relatively remote location.

The tea house has a viewing/dining deck on its rooftop that overlooks the tea hills, while a shop stocked with Bharat products lies downstairs next to the cafe counter. For many visitors arriving at Cameron Highlands from Simpang Pulai, the tea house is a favourite stopover before Brinchang.

Stop At: Agro Technology Park in MARDI, JKR266, Jln Persiaran Endah, Tanah Rata 39000 Malaysia
MARDI Agrotechnology Park is an agricultural research station at Tanah Rata, open to public and managed by a government institute for such developments. Within the 42-hectare expanse of the park, visitors can explore various flower gardens, crop houses, plant nurseries, farmlands and even a small tea plantation with factory.

There is also a small hotel in the form of an English cottage, providing boutique accommodation with meeting facilities. To get to the park, take the slip road at right behind the bus station at town, then follow it until the signboard to MARDI appears at left. Open daily except Mondays, entry tickets are priced at MYR5 per adult and MYR3 per child.

Day 2: Cameron Day Tour before Leaving to Kuala Lumpur

Stop At: Kea Farm Market, 39100, Brinchang 39000 Malaysia
Kea Farm is an agricultural district in Cameron Highlands, located 3km north of Brinchang town or 3km before Tringkap. Its central feature is a vegetable market along the main road - a popular shopping destination for visitors on weekends. Perched on a plateau next to Copthorne Hotel (formerly Equatorial Resort), traders and farmers sell the best of their crops and goods here from morning till evening.

As the market nears closing time, look for great bargains on perishable stock like greens, corn, strawberries, flowers, food stuff and more. Some tourist attractions that lie within the vicinity include Rose Center, Ee Feng Gu and Butterfly Garden.

Stop At: Raju Hill Strawberry Farm, 42nd Mile Kea Farm, 39100 Malaysia
Raaju's Hill is a strawberry farm and cafe perched on a ridgetop at Kea Farm, situated along the main road opposite the entrance of Equatorial Resort about 3km north of Brinchang town. A popular tourist attraction on weekends, the farm offers strawberry picking by weight or fresh strawberries sold at a counter daily.

The cafe has an extended dining deck suitable for large groups, with a selection of pastries, cakes, shakes, waffles and ice cream from the menu. Nestled on top the building is also a small roof terrace that overlooks the rainforest emanating from Gunung Brinchang - visitors can bring their tea and snacks here to enjoy the view around picnic tables

Stop At: Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm, 75, Batu 43 Green Cow, Brinchang 39100 Malaysia
Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm is an apiary at Kea Farm, about 3.5km north of Brinchang town right after Equatorial Resort along the main road. This large bee farm has a spacious shopping gallery, indoor maze for children, vegetable market, mini museum and cafeteria housed within the main building.

Nestled below is the proper bee farm area - a network of hives scattered around a lush garden peppered with cute statues of queen and worker bees.Visitors can access a walk that leads around the garden in a loop while admiring the view of flowers, trees and bee boxes - watch out for stings. Open daily from morning till evening, Ee Feng Gu Bee Farm is free to visit.

Stop At: Sungai Palas, Pahang, Malaysia
Sungai Palas Garden is a tea plantation located in Brinchang about 5km north from town or 2km away from Kea Farm Market. Owned and managed by Boh Tea, it complements their main estate at Habu in Ringlet, featuring its very own tea center, visitor gallery and show factory. Likewise, the Sungai Palas tea garden is also shut up within its own isolated valley away from the main roa.

The road in begins at left after the Butterfly Garden, with a large signboard that clearly indicates the way. After short but windy stretch, the view breaks into a magnificent panorama of vast tea fields stretched across the valley and slopes. Follow the road right from the signboard until the end; the Sungai Palas Boh Tea Center is perched on top a small hill.

Stop At: Rose Valley, 148 Tringkap, Tanah Rata 39000 Malaysia
Rose Valley is a flower garden at Tringkap, located along the main road towards Brinchang town. Here, visitors can see over 450 different species of roses, flowers, plants and cacti on display along a pretty garden walk with European-inspired landscapes and monuments. Open daily from morning till evening, tickets are priced MYR5 for adults and MYR2 for children.

Stop At: Cameron Lavender, 59, Brinchang 39100 Malaysia
Cameron Lavender is a show garden between Tringkap and Kuala Terla, about 4km north of Kea Farm in Brinchang. One of the more recent attractions in the highlands, the garden features a beautiful lavender field with an assorment of other continental flowers on display, fringed with colourful statues and objects inspired by European countryside scenery.

Within the compound, there is a small market for souvenirs, merchandise and souvenirs, while the garden has its own product store and a cafe on a viewing deck at top floor, serving lavender-infused meals including cakes and drinks. Strawberry picking is also available. Open daily from 9am till 6pm, a small ticket fee is charged on visitors.
