You will visit Penang Hill where you will ride a funicular train to its peak at 833m above sea level to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Georgetown and mainland Butterworth. Colonial bungalows can be found around this hill due to the British preferring to stay in a cooler climate compared to the hot and humid environment in the city.

Continue your journey into Habitat Penang, hidden on the top of Penang Hill. A forest reserve since 1911 turned into an unforgettable nature trail through the lush tropical rainforest which is 130million years old. It marks the starting point of the 1.6km long The Habitat nature trail. A trail that meanders below three of the hill’s oldest historic bungalows, and through the entire stretch of The Habitat themed park.

CURTIS CREST TREE TOP WALK

The Treetop Walk is a 13m HIGHEST PUBLIC viewing platform located on the plateau just above the Mid-Point Rest Area and Museum. Designed to handle up to 120 people at a time, it offers mesmerizing 360-degree views of Penang, including George Town, and serves as the highest public viewing point on the island. On a clear day the islands of Langkawi can be seen in the distance, and if you look just in front of you, Bel Retiro (the Governor of Penang’s mansion), can also be seen in all its splendour.

Enjoy a steamboat dinner in Bellevue Hotel, a colonial type hotel situated 800 metres above sea level. Enjoy a spectacular panoramic view while you fill your tummy with delicious food. Once you have enjoyed your meal, return back to the base of Penang Hill for your transport to return to your hotel after a long day.
