Sandakan, the former capital of British North Borneo, is the second largest city in Sabah after Kota Kinabalu. It is located in the East Coast of Sabah and is famous for its wide range of seafood available. Back in the days, it was known as Sabah’s ‘Little Hong Kong’ due to the large amount of Chinese migrants from Hong Kong.
In this half day tour, you will get to see the orang utan, a species of great apes native to the island of Borneo. You’ll be spending a few hours at the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre where you will be introduced to the orang utan, witness orang utan feeding and experience the nature trail. You will then depart to the Sandakan Memorial Park before having lunch at Hotel Sandakan.
