Cavern Diving in a Cenote

Cenotes are sinkholes that give access to the longest underwater cave system in the wordl! They are placed in the jungle of Yucatan peninsula, Mexico. Crystal clear water invites to snorkel and dive. Beautiful dripstone formations and amazing natural light effects make it a lifetime experience!

Cavern diving can be done by every Open Water Diver who has a proper buoyancy control. Though you will need a guide that has to be at least divemaster and full cave certified. Then you can explore the underground to a distance of maximum 30m to the entrance. These passages are all marked with permanent lines and have mostly access to natural light.

Itinerary

Depending on your location (Cancun - Playa del Carmen) and in which area you go, we pick you up in the morning between 6-8 at your hotel.

After a ride of 0,5-2 h we arrive at the cenote. First we have a short walk to explore the area. After a briefing we set up the gear and get changed.

Each dive is between 30-45 minutes.

During a surface interval (mostly short due to the shalow depth of most cenotes) we have some drinks (included, no alcohol).

After the second dive we have a snack (included), disassemble the gear, get changed and take you back to your hotel - after an amazing day you will never forget!

Depending on the distance you will be back between 2-4 pm.

Included: Pick up at your hotel/ apartement, transportation to and from the cenote, entrance fee, 2 tanks, dive light, drinks (non alcoholic), snacks, dive equipment except wetsuit.
