This lagoon is still off the beaten track and a a sight that can't be missed. Kaan Luum means yellow earth and you will see why the minute you arrive. There's a big hole in the center, actually there is a cenote under the lagoon, and the sides are all shallow and yellow mud. It makes a great scrub and a lot of fun when you fall in here.
Because we bring our boards we are able to explore the whole lagoon, instead of being stuck in the entrance. The beauty of the nature, and the silence are impressive. All in all this lagoon is the perfect place to learn or do paddleboarding.

We will not stop at the archaeological site, but will stop in Tulum town to have some delicious tacos. Vegetarian options available.
