Rappel into the depths of Chiapas renowned La Sima de las Cotorras which is a large sinkhole tucked located in the forests of Selva El Ocote Biosphere Reserve. Have an unforgettable time with incredible nature.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your San Cristobal de las Casas hotel at 4:30am in the hotel from March to November or at 8am from November to February. You will head to the 'Sinkhole of Parrots' and rappel behind your guide into the darkness of a 459-foot-deep (140 meters) pit. When you are inside this place, you'll be amazed at the amazing Zoque paintings which are on the rock walls. You will also experience a subterranean world like no other. Your adventure continues with a visit to "El Aguacero", which has about 740 stairs. You have to go downstairs way to the Aguacero river and will have time for lunch (not included). Your tour concludes back in San Cristobal de las Casas.

• Centro Ecoturistico El Aguacero, Carretera Federal 190. km 48 + 3 De Tuxtla Gutierrez por la carretera federal numero 190, que va a la ciudad de Mexico despues de recorrer 48 kms se encuentra un desvio, de este desvio se recorren 3 kms. de terraceria para llegar al estacionamiento, para acceder a la cascada se descienden aproximadamente 740 escalones., Ocozocoautla de Espinosa Mexico
