3 days private desert tour from Marrakech to Fes via Sahara desert

The private tour kicks off with a beautiful view of The Atlas Mountains as we leave Marrakesh. From there we’ll drive through Tizi-n-Tichka, the highest road pass in Morocco, to reach the Unesco world heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a location you might recognize from several hollywood movies. Then we continue on to Ouarzazatte where we’ll visit a movie studio and a Kasbah (citadel) located in the city and from there head towards the Valley of Roses, famous for its Annual Festival of Roses

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakesh – Tizi n Tichka pass – Ouarzazatte – Dades Gorges

Stop At: Dades Gorge, Ifrane Atlas Saghir 45150 Morocco
The private tour kicks off with a beautiful view of The Atlas Mountains as we leave Marrakesh. From there we’ll drive through Tizi-n-Tichka, the highest road pass in Morocco, to reach the Unesco world heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a location you might recognize from several hollywood movies. Then we continue on to Ouarzazatte where we’ll visit a movie studio and a Kasbah (citadel) located in the city and from there head towards the Valley of Roses, famous for its Annual Festival of Roses. We end our first day with a drive to Dades Gorges where we’ll spend the night in a hotel with complementary dinner and breakfast.

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Erfoud– Merzouga Desert

Stop At: Merzouga Desert, Merzouga Morocco
we’ll continue our tour by 4x4 and visit Todra Gorge, a colorful narrow canyon famous to outdoor lovers. Then we’ll drive through The Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, an oasis town known as the gate to the Sahara desert and recognized for its unique fossils. There we can visit a local factory which produces artisans and house decor made from fossils, there is also a local shop where you may purchase such items as souvenirs. From there on out, we continue to the desert to reach Merzouga. Arriving at a checkpoint we leave the vehicle and begin our camel ride into the desert dunes, accompanied by experienced guides, arriving at the Merzouga Desert Camp where we’ll stay overnight in Berbere tents. This spectacular night will be rendered unforgettable with a unique and traditional starlight Berbere dinner topped off by tribal music around a desert campfire.

Day 3: Merzouga desert – Rissani – Midelt – Fes

Stop At: Fes el-Bali, Fes 30110 Morocco
On our 3rd day we’ll fetch an early start to catch the Sunrise and then continue our private tour, on camelback, to the hotel. After enjoying a complimentary breakfast we’ll drive towards Rissani, Erfoud and we reach Midelt in Atlas mountains. We then drive to Fes, ending our 3-day trip from Marrakesh.
