After leaving Auckland we travel through the Waikato region, which is well known for cattle and dairy farming. You will also pass some sheep farms on your way to Hobbiton. On arrival at Hobbiton you will have time get something to eat (own expense) or explore the Shires Rest Souvenir shop before joining Hobbiton Tours for a group walking tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set including a complementary drink at the Green Dragon before boarding our coach to return to Auckland
This tour starts later than most (at 12 noon) and we guarantee departure. We have no minimum numbers and will travel for one person

Stop At: Hobbiton Movie Set, 501 Buckland Road Matamata, Hinuera 3472 New Zealand

Afternoon tour - departs at 12:00 - Hotel pickups from 11:30. Travel to and from Hobbiton in a late model Mercedes Van with luxury fit-out and then join the 2 hour bus and walking tour of Hobbiton with a local guide. There are no meals included but you have time on arrival in Hobbiton buy and eat food before you go on tour
