Explore Amazing Salalah City from Cruise Terminal (Half Day Group Tour)

This is the only group guided tour from Salalah cruise terminal, which is catered to the requirement of the cruise passengers.

In the short time when the cruise is berth, the passengers will be taken to the exotic journey for exploring the diversity of Salalah, the second largest city in Sultanate of Oman. The pick up will be from the inside of the port. The customers shouldn't take the shuttle bus from the terminal to the outside. So this will be very convenient for the pick up.

The tour will take you to Sultan Qaboos Mosque, which is the largest mosque in the Southern Oman and then to the largest indoor Museum - Frankincense Land Museum. The tour includes visit to an ancient port of Al Baleed, which is a UNESCO Heritage site. Haffa Souq is an open air traditional market selling frankincense, perfumes, Omani Dresses and Souvenirs. The tour bus will pass through the palace of the Sultan and the coconut and banana farms. You will go to the largest modern mall in Dhofar at the end.

Stop At: Sultan Qaboos Mosque, 23.July Street, Salalah 211 Oman

Sultan Qaboos Mosque is the largest mosque in Salalah and Dhofar Governorate. It is a beautiful mosque, with Islamic arcetucture.

There are 2 domes and 2 tall minarates.

Sultan Qaboos Mosque, named after the king of Oman, is the landmark of Salalah and is located in the city center.

Every morning, people from other religions can visit the large prayer hall inside the mosque, which has large chandelier in the center and green colored soft carpet. However, on Friday, non-Muslims cannot enter in the mosque. It will be just a photo stop on Friday.

Pass By: Al Hosn Palace, As Sultan Qaboos St., Salalah 211 Oman

The royal palace, Al Husn Palace is the palace of the Sultan of Oman. Al Husn, an Arabic word, means Fort in English.

The palace is not open to public and you cannot pass beyond this main gate of the palace.

Stop At: Al-Husn Souq, Sultan Quaboos Street, Salalah 211 Oman

Nested around the coconut trees, Al Haffa Souq is an old market in Salalah, the second largest city of Oman. Due to the proximity to The Royal Place - Al Husn Palace, the market is known as Al Hosn Souq.

The shops at this open-air traditional market sells Dhofari Frankincense, perfumes, fridge magnets, traditional Omani clothes and other souvenirs and day to day use items. This market is the best place to buy these products in Salalah.

Stop At: Al Haffa beach, Salalah, Oman

This white sand beach is located besides the famous frankincense market - Haffa souq and the palace of the Sultan - Al Husn Palace.

At this beach, birds watching is a great activity, besides walking on the shore of the Arabian Sea.

The open air archaeological park in Salalah is a UNESCO heritage site, which is a must visit in Salalah. The ancient ruins of Al Baleed belong to the 12th-century trading port of Dhofar for Frankincense.

Stop At: Museum of the Frankincense Land, As Sultan Qaboos Street, Salalah 211 Oman

Frankincense Land Musuem is an indoor museum and the largest one in Southern Oman. The museum hosts the following:

1. Artifacts excavated from archaeological sites of Al Baleed, Sumhuram and Ash Shisr, which are all UNESCO heritage sites.

2. Governorate of Dhofar's historical and archaeological heritage.

3. Models of the Omani boats that dates back to 3000 BC.

Stop At: Salalah Gardens Mall, Al Wadi street à coté de Hypermarché Carrefour, Salalah 211 Oman

Salalah Gardens Mall is the first and the largest modern mall in Salalah. The mall has shops, restaurants and coffee shops and a hypermarket. You can shop and eat in this mall (cost not included).
