Itinerary

Day 1: Bimah Sinkhole,Wadi Shab,Bibi Miriam's tomb,Wahiba desert

Stop At: Bimmah Sinkhole, Hawiyat Najm Park, Muscat Oman
Bimmah Sinkhole is a water-filled depression, structurally a sinkhole, in the limestone of eastern Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. A lake of turquoise waters, it is 50 m by 70 m wide and approximately 20 m deep. It is only about 600 m away from the sea,[1] between the coastal towns of Ḑibāb and Bimmah. The sinkhole was formed by a collapse of the surface layer due to dissolution of the underlying limestone. However, locals believe that it was created by a meteorite, ‘Hawaiyat Najm’, which translates to ‘The Falling Star’ in Arabic, and hence the name.

Stop At: Wadi Shab, 50km West of Sur, Sur 411 Oman
Wadi Shaab, is a very popular wadi located inOman. It is a very popular outdoor attraction for both locals and expats, and people come here for the nature, to swim in the fresh water pools or just to have a barbecue. The main attraction of the wadi is the water fall in the cave, which you can reach after a roughly 40 mins hike and swimming in 2-3 pools. I really love coming to this wadi as it is not very far from Muscat, is easily accessible even with a saloon car and because the pools are always full with clear blue water!

Misfat Al Abriyeen has become quite an attractive tourist destination in recent years due to the many features that make it a wonderful experience for any visitor. The village boasts amazing agricultural terraces, beautiful alleys, and old houses built on top of solid rocks. Near the viewing platform, there is also a map of the historical part of Misfat Al Abriyeen along with information, points of interests and tips for visiting tourists.
