This trek is located less than sixty miles northwest of Cusco in the Vilcabamba mountain range. Rising to 20,574 feet, Mount Salkantay is an outstanding glacier-capped summit worshipped by local Peruvians. Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco - Humantay lake - Soraypampa

Stop At: Humantay Lake, Cusco 08002 Peru
An included hike to the beautiful Humantay Lake
Duration: 3 hours

Meals included:
• Lunch
• Dinner
Accommodation included: Two person tent and mattress

Day 2: Soraypampa to Chaullay

Stop At: Salkantay Trail, Peru
From here you will have a 8 hour trek and have a beautiful view of the Salkantay Mountain
Duration: 10 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast
• Lunch
• Dinner
Accommodation included: Two person tent and mattress

Day 3: Chaullay to Santa Teresa

Stop At: Banos Termales de Cocalmayo, 4 Km from Santa Teresa, Santa Teresa Peru
This day will be a nice hike in the rain forest, it is not as difficult and takes about 5 hours and after 3 days of hiking, this day you will have a chance to visit the hot springs of Cocalmayo
Duration: 2 hours

Day 4: Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes

Stop At: Aguas Calientes, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region
Today the hike will start at 6:00 a.m. and is another flat, easy hike towards the hydroelectric of Machu Picchu, where we will stop for lunch and then continue with the last 3 hours of our hike to the town of Aguas Calientes
Duration: 6 hours

Day 5: Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu to Cusco

Stop At: Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Cusco Region
We will take an early morning bus to the archeological site of Machu Picchu and have a 2 hour guided tour of the citadel. You will have some time to explore before taking the shuttle bus back to Aguas Calientes and lunch here on your own before we take the train back to Cusco
