Discover a world of Adventure Climbing Pisco (4 days)

Ascending Pisco offers amazing views to non-climbers who want to summit an Andes peak.

For keen trekkers and people acclimatised and with no, or limited, experience on snow and ice, this is a must.

This four-day climb of Mount Pisco (5,750m) takes place in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca.

Our guides take you close to the roof of the Andes up this beautiful mountain and give you a view you’ll never forget.

The approach is through Llanganuco gorge where we will see two beautiful lagoons, Chinancocha at 12,631 ft. (3,850 ms.) and Orcococha at 12,674 ft. (3,863 ms.) Surrounded by most impressive mountains, is possible to enjoyed one of the most spectacular views of Cordillera Blanca mountain range.

 Itinerary

Day 1: Huaraz – Cebolla pampa 3900 m / 12 795 ft – Pisco base camp 4600m / 15 092 ft.- We travel by private vehicle from Huaraz to the start of the trek. Start walking at Quebrada Demanda to Pisco base camp (camp or mountain hut). From the camp there are magnificent views of Pisco and all around to the high peaks of the Cordillera including Huascaran (at 6,768, Peru's highest peak) and Huandoy.

Day 2: Base camp – Moraine camp 4900m / 16 076ft.- we hiked to Moraine camp and slept in the rocks, the area between the beginning of the snow and the end of the vegetation. This hike was more difficult because it was less of a trail, and more of hopping from rock to rock.

 Day 3: Moraine camp – Summit 5750 m / 18 865 ft  – Base camp.- Your summit climb of Pisco follows the occasionally narrow West Ridge. Snow and a little ice leads directly to the top. Pisco is well known for its incredible views, and with strategic view points there will be many opportunites for photographs. The close proximity of the neighbouring peaks of Huandoy and Chacraraju are astonishing. Return to Base Camp. From the Base Camp,.

 Day 4: Base camp – Cebollapampa – Huaraz- After having breakfast we will start descending to Cebollapampa. Our transfer will we waiting for us. End of services.
