This experience takes place in Cabeceiras de Basto and, starting in the town center, you will visit the Monastery of São Miguel de Refojos (considered the Jewel of the Portuguese Baroque in the lands of Basto) and also the House of Time where you will enjoy of a private perfomance by local musicians.

Pass By: Torre dos Clerigos, Rua Sao Filipe Neri, Porto 4050-546 Portugal

The experience starts at 8am in our meeting point in Clérigos Tower in Porto where you will meet the guide/driver. Leaving from Porto at 8:15am, the group will be driven for 1 hour to Cabeceiras de Basto.

Stop At: Cabeceiras de Basto, Cabeceiras de Basto, Braga District, Northern Portugal

Arriving to Cabeceiras de Basto, you will visit the main cultural points in the town centre and have an introduction about the region, customs and traditions.

Stop At: Casa do Tempo, Avenida Doutor Francisco Sa Carneiro 8, Cabeceiras de Basto 4860-150 Portugal

You will be visiting Casa do Tempo, the local museum, where a musical performance will also be offered by local musicians.

You will head to a natural viewing point where you will be able to enjoy the natural landscape and after that, a full regional lunch will take place in a typical restaurant located in a remote area of the region.

Having finished lunch, you will proceed to North of Cabeceiras de Basto and visit Casa da Lã, that has as its main goal the protection and  promotion of the ancient art of wool clothes manufactoring. Here, you will be able to live experience the labour performed by locals who are more than happy to meet you and show their skills using ancient devices no longer used in the industry.

Leaving the museum, you will step into our final part of the visit, which is located just 5 minutes away, where you willl see the biggest granary of Portugal and head back to Porto, packed with great memories, knowledge and a full stomach!
