Pass By: Casino Estoril, Praca Jose Teodoro dos Santos, Estoril, Cascais 2765-237 Portugal

The Greater Lisbon area includes not only the capital but also the most picturesque suburbs - Cascais, Estoril and Sintra, which we invite you to visit during a busy day tour.

After leaving the hotel, we will head to the Estoril area, where for hundreds of years noble families and celebrities from around the world have enjoyed their holidays. We'll find out where the spies met during World War II and why one of the James Bond movies was filmed here.

Stop At: Cascais Marina, Avenida Rei Humberto II de Italia Casa de S. Bernardo, Cascais 2750-800 Portugal

We will pass the fortress of Cascais and discover why the penultimate Portuguese king loved to spend time here. Let's take photos with a spectacular view of the Boca do Inferno cliff. Through the most expensive residential area of Portugal, through the protected area of the national reserve we will go to the sandy beach of Gincho, a favorite place among the Portuguese for weddings and surfing.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Estrada Cabo da Roca, Colares 2705-001 Portugal

The next stop is “where the land ends and the sea begins,” as Luis de Camoes, the famous Portuguese poet, wrote. Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of continental Europe, which impresses with the beauty of nature and the Atlantic Ocean.

Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Castelo dos Mouros, Estrada da Pena Parque de Monserrate, Sintra 2710-609 Portugal

We will continue to admire the diversity of nature as we travel through the enchanted forest of Sintra, discover who and why left huge stones here. Lord Byron called this city "the glorious Eden." And indeed, Sintra is a paradise on earth, a sacred place where a goddess lived, and later the Moors settled down and built the Moorish Castle which is still on top of the mountain. Sintra was also the home of kings with their closest circle - the richest and most famous families in the country, as well as attracting tycoons from around the world. So nowadays Sintra is a city with palaces, farms and magnificent parks with a rich collection of plants and trees from five continents.

Stop At: Park and National Palace of Pena, Estrada da Pena, 2710-609 Sintra, Portugal

Some palaces are abandoned, some have been renovated as hotels and some are open as museums. We chose the two most interesting to visit - Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira. The Pena Palace is an ancient monastery destroyed by an earthquake and rebuilt by King Fernando and Queen Maria II to escape the city's affairs and recreate. We can learn more about real life and see the personal assets of the last royal family, which had to flee the country after the overthrow of the monarchy.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Quinta da Regaleira, Rua Barbosa do Bocage, Sintra 2710-567 Portugal

In addition, we will visit Quinta da Regaleira, built by the bricklayer and billionaire who has become a reflection of his views on life and impresses with a park with a maze of underground tunnels, waterfalls, lakes and caves. We will have the opportunity to pass the Masonic initiation rite down to the underground well for the rebirth of the soul.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Centro Historico de Sintra, Sintra 2710-616 Portugal

Then we will move to the historic center of Sintra where you can have lunch in a cafe or restaurant with a history (if you wish). The sweet tooth also has the opportunity to taste national almond sweets in a former pastry shop that has kept a secret of pillow production for over 150 years.
