In Douro Valley many of the wines are made from genuine Portuguese grape varieties, rather than from international grapes that can be found anywhere in the world today. You will get to know why those grapes and taste wines made from touriga nacional, tinta roriz, touriga franca, sousa and many others.

You have the chance to walk among the vineyards that grow on break-neck slopes, learn about Portuguese grapes varieties and learn about all the entire winemaking process.

You can also admire Pinhão village considered the heart of the region, admire the landscape from the top of one of the most beautiful view points located in the region described by some authors one of the most beautiful places in the region.
